Well, I went back to work six weeks ago. I retired from Indiana University back in June 2018. When my husband retired from his part-time position back in April 2021, I hadn't realized how much we depended on the extra income even though it wasn't much. I had been thinking about working part-time for the last year or two and applied at Michaels Arts and Crafts store. I'm a cashier. Very low key and love interacting with the customers. My boss and team mates are super wonderful! I love it. In the meantime, two months ago my husband went back to his part-time job as Administrative Assistant at our church since the person resigned from the position in August. But that's great. Those darn pharmacy prescriptions at the beginning of the year just kills us since we have to meet our deductible. And I love that I get a 30% employee discount. It has pushed me back into crafting and Writing!!! I really needed a schedule. Plus Keith and I don't have to work weekends and we will be able to RV next summer for two months. I noticed too in the last two weeks, that I am able to concentrate and use my brain for remembering emails and phone numbers when given to me at the register. A win, win for these two retirees.
